The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and insightful analysis to support business performance.
Candidate Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS for SMEs / GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations, VAT submissions, and journal entries.
- Oversee multi-entity accounting structures and ensure compliance across entities.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analysis to inform business decisions.
- Maintain and improve financial systems and processes, with strong use of Excel and Xero (or similar).
- Communicate financial information clearly across all levels of the business.
- Assist with audits and ad hoc financial projects as required.
Candidate Requirements
- SAIPA / SAICA qualified with 35 years experience in hospitality accounting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, IFRS for SMEs / GAAP.
- Proven ability in reconciliations, VAT management, and month-end processes.
- Experience managing multi-entity structures is essential.
- Strong Excel and Xero (or equivalent) skills.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to analyse performance and support budgets.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively at all levels.
