A portfolio of luxury boutique lodges and retreats in South Africa is seeking a qualified and experienced ACCOUNTANT to join their dynamic hospitality team in Constantia, Cape Town.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and insightful analysis to support business performance.Candidate Responsibilities : Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS for SMEs / GAAP.Manage month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations, VAT submissions, and journal entries.Oversee multi-entity accounting structures and ensure compliance across entities.Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing analysis to inform business decisions.Maintain and improve financial systems and processes, with strong use of Excel and Xero (or similar).

Communicate financial information clearly across all levels of the business.Assist with audits and ad hoc financial projects as required.Candidate Requirements : SAIPA / SAICA qualified with 3–5 years' experience in hospitality accounting.Solid understanding of accounting principles, IFRS for SMEs / GAAP.Proven ability in reconciliations, VAT management, and month-end processes.Experience managing multi-entity structures is essential.Strong Excel and Xero (or equivalent) skillsmercially minded, with the ability to analyse performance and support budgets.Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively at all levels.This is a live-out position.
