Accountant (Remote – Western Cape, South Africa)

Overview

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team in a remote role. If you thrive in managing your own portfolio of clients and can hit the ground running, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities

• Managing a list of clients across various industries
• Monthly accounting and reconciliations
• VAT calculations and submissions
• Preparation of management reports
• Compiling annual financial statements
• Liaising directly with clients to provide support and advice

Requirements (must-have)

• Minimum 2+ years experience in an accounting practice
• Strong working knowledge of Caseware or Draftworx
• Ability to take ownership and deliver from day one – confident and capable without extensive training
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Nice to have

• Experience with Xero, Sage Accounting, and QuickBooks
• Excellent communication and client management skills
