A leading fast food brand in Cape Town seeks an Accountant to maintain fixed asset registers and manage bookkeeping up to trial balance. The ideal candidate holds a B. Comm and has 2-3 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in the FMCG sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic team. Qualifications

• 2-3 years bookkeeping experience required.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Fixed Asset register, new builds, revamps & scrapping
• To process and reconcile Debtors
• Creditors – allocation / coding (capturing done by Creditors team)
• Cashbook and Petty Cash
• Journals – Monthly; Payroll; Depreciation
• Bookkeeping up to Trial balance
• Management Accounts – preparation, corroboration & follow up
• VAT
• Salary and Wages
• Credit cards
• Assist with coordination and planning of the annual budget process
• Maintenance of beneficiaries list on banking system
• Creating payments
• Daily bank deposits reconciliation and follow-up, cash tracking
• Maintain monthly audit files
• Food cost corroboration & follow up

Qualifications

• B. Comm
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Fluent in English
• Valid drivers licence
• 2-3 years bookkeeping experience
• Experience in Sage Evolution
• Experience with GAAP Retail Office will be advantageous
• Experience in the FMCG (restaurant) industry will be advantageous
