Role Overview:

We are on the search for an experienced, highly driven Account Manager - based in Johannesburg, who was worked in either the Heavy Industry, Water and/or Petrochem trade.

This is no ordinary sales job - if you are able to work in a fast-paced, unique environment - then we are looking for you.

Role Responsibilities:

You will take the ownership in the assigned territory to develop sales by utilizing all elements of our sales process toeffectively analyse, implement and control the opportunities within the territory to achieve the assigned targets for defined territory or market segment.

You will also build fruitful working relationships with all levels - partners, contractors, system integrators & end users, and actively manage and develop the growth of key products within the sales territory by targeting the appropriate customer groups and ensuring successful introduction of new products. You will ensure the appropriate level of coverage is given to both buying and potential customers within the customer platform, to develop profitable growth.

You will actively and effectively demonstrate, service, train, and (where appropriate) test Hilti products; and to be successful you must understand the market thoroughly and know the players, therefore you will obtain information on competition, market price levels, new launches, seminars, new outlets, quality issues, product deliveries and report in monthly reports.

What you need is:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completed degree/advanced diploma.
  • Work experience in the Water, Petrochem and/or Heavy Industry is key.
  • Your ability to work in a highly pressurized, performance driven environment.
  • Proven track record in a technical sales role is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven learning agility, with a strong drive to consistently meet performance targets.
  • An agile approach to solving problems, with a solution-oriented mind-set.
  • Strong business acumen, with a team orientation attitude.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile.
