We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Chemistry and Marketing, with 3–5 years of sales experience in the construction sector, particularly in raw materials for epoxy resins, grouts, mortars, and tile adhesives. Strong negotiation skills, a valid driver’s license, and computer literacy are essential. What do we expect from the candidate?

We expect the successful candidate to drive sales growth by meeting and exceeding targets, actively managing and expanding their customer base, and promoting our products effectively. They should provide market insights, analyze sales data, and prepare regular reports to support strategic decisions. Strong relationship‑building skills, proactive prospecting, and adherence to company standards, including safety and compliance, are essential for success in this role.

The key responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed sales budget targets.
  • Manage and grow sales territory and customer base.
  • Market and promote all Rolfes Chemicals products.
  • Offer the best product and outstanding service keeping in mind all the customer’s requirements.
  • Build lasting professional relationships with customers.
  • Prospect for new business.
  • Provide market intelligence to management team.
  • Analyse sales reports and formulate strategies.
  • Monthly distribution of special price letters.
  • Submit monthly visit and call report to Sales Manager.
  • Perform other roles such as Fire Fighter, First aider, Safety Rep. etc. after appropriate training and appointment.
Must‑Have
  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry and Marketing or related field.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience in the Construction sector with related experience. Selling raw materials for epoxy resins solutions, powdered grouts & mortars and tile adhesive solutions.
  • Sales experience in the Chemical trading industry will be an advantage.
  • A valid driver’s licence and Own vehicle.
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
