A global HR solutions provider is looking for an Account Manager to manage and grow client portfolios while uncovering new business opportunities. As an Account Manager, you'll take the lead in managing and growing a portfolio of existing clients while uncovering new business opportunities.
You'll be the trusted partner for our customers, connecting with them across multiple channels, understanding their global workforce goals, and delivering solutions that drive real impact.

The successful candidate will work a hybrid schedule from our Sandton office, with working hours from 1PM to 10PM (SAST).
Achieve monthly and quarterly account growth targets, driving revenue across both active and dormant accounts.
Re-engage and grow dormant or low-activity accounts, reigniting relationships and uncovering new opportunities.
Build and maintain detailed client profiles, including client mapping and retention plans to support long-term growth.
Proactively engage with accounts to understand their growth strategies and position Safeguard as a key partner.
Provide deep insights into new territories clients may expand into, supporting their global ambitions.
Maintain accurate growth forecasts for each client, ensuring visibility of future opportunities.
Conduct quarterly business reviews to track progress and align on objectives.
Host bi-weekly to monthly client meetings to review key performance indicators and strengthen relationships.
Develop client-specific workflows to align processes internally and externally for seamless collaboration.
Work closely with clients to resolve issues, leveraging internal teams across time zones for timely solutions.
Collaborate with internal departments to keep communication open and consistent throughout the client journey.
Respond quickly and professionally to client questions, ensuring a high standard of service.
Act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with internal teams to provide accurate answers and updates to clients.
Proven experience in sales, pre-sales, or account management, with a track record of driving growth.
Demonstrated success in reviving dormant or underperforming accounts and turning them into revenue-generating partnerships.
Data-driven approach, able to analyse account performance, identify opportunities and forecast growth accurately.
Fluent in English, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strategic and consultative mindset - able to identify client needs, propose tailored solutions, and position offerings effectively.
Excellent relationship-building skills, building and maintaining trust, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
Strong negotiation and upselling skills, with a focus on long-term client retention.
Willing and able to work USA Eastern Time Zone hours (1:00 PM – 10:00 PM SAST) to align with client needs.
