We are hiring a Building and Maintenance Assistant

The Building and Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining and repairing the company's building and facilities, ensuring a safe and functional work environment for all employees.

This role involves conducting regular inspections, identifying and resolving maintenance issues, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.

It also includes managing inventory, coordinating with contractors, and reporting maintenance status to the procurement manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regular inspections of the company's building and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, filters, and other consumables.
  • Carry out minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and renovations on approved projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all facilities and equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and asset conditions.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the preventive maintenance program and schedule.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders for necessary items.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of maintenance supplies and tools.
  • Ensure the maintenance storeroom is kept in pristine condition.
  • Provide regular updates to the procurement manager on the status of maintenance projects and the required preventative maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions.
