Overview
Responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of personnel, visitors, and small equipment within premises. This role supports Security operations by facilitating rapid mobility, enhancing security visibility, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols across designated areas.
Responsibilities
- Transportation & Attendant Duties
- Operate the golf cart to transport employees, security staff, contractors, and visitors between buildings or designated areas.
- Assist in escorting visitors and ensuring they are accompanied to the correct destination.
- Security Support
- Conduct routine perimeter and facility patrols using the golf cart to enhance security presence.
- Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security incidents promptly to the Security Consultant or Control Room.
- Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to company’s driving and safety policies, including speed limits and designated routes.
- Ensure passengers follow all safety procedures while on the golf cart.
- Maintenance & Upkeep
- Perform basic checks on the golf cart (battery level, tire condition, lights, brakes, cleanliness) before and after use.
- Report any mechanical issues or damages to the Security Consultant for immediate repair.
- Customer Service
- Provide a courteous and professional service to all passengers and stakeholders.
- Offer assistance to disabled or special-needs passengers.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain a daily log of trips, patrols, and incidents.
- Record mileage, operating hours, and maintenance activities in the provided register.

Education
NQF 3 : Grade 10 (Int) and relevant modular training
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 10 (NQF level 3). Grade 12 (NQF level 4) or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
- At least 1 year of driving experience (golf cart, light vehicle, or similar).
- Previous experience in a security or facilities environment will be advantageous.
Special Requirements
- A valid driver’s license, code 8 / EB or equivalent is a requirement.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong awareness of safety and security protocols.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills are essential for roles involving passenger transport.
- Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with different people is important.
