Job summary

FTI Consulting invites graduates to join its Johannesburg office for a 12-month, full-time placement in Strategic Communications. The programme offers exposure to crisis management, stakeholder engagement, media relations, and government relations, with structured learning and mentorship from senior leaders.

Ideal candidates have completed or are pursuing an Honours/Master's in relevant fields, with graduation anticipated in 2027 or 2025–2026. January/February 2027 start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree completed or currently studying towards an Honours or Master's Degree.
• Graduated between 2025 and 2026 or due to graduate in 2027.
• Available to commence a full-time placement in January/February 2027.
• Preferred disciplines include Law, Economics, Business, Computer Science, STEM, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Journalism.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, analysis, and information gathering for client engagements.
• Monitor and analyze media, policy, stakeholder, and market developments.
• Support the development and execution of communication campaigns.
• Assist with digital content, media engagement, and stakeholder outreach activities.
• Prepare reports, strategic presentations, and client recommendations.
• Contribute to corporate reputation and stakeholder engagement projects.
• Participate in structured training programmes covering media relations, crisis communications, digital strategy, and public policy analysis.
• Support project execution and client relationship activities.
• Work closely with consultants, mentors, and senior leaders.
• Develop professional consulting, communication, and analytical skills.
