Job summary

Imizizi is seeking a SAP Basis professional to assist with proactive monitoring and maintenance of the SAP landscape, provide incident support, and participate in transport management and change activities. You will work under guidance of senior team members in a DevOps context.

The role involves SAP Basis administration, periodic maintenance, and after-hours support as needed, with a focus on availability and performance of SAP systems and databases.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years SAP Basis experience.
• Relevant IT Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• SAP Certification advantageous.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Good planning, listening and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform SAP system health checks and monitoring.
• Review dumps, traces and system logs.
• Assist with transport imports and release activities.
• Support go-lives and change implementations.
• Coordinate with development and operations teams.
• Troubleshoot SAP BASIS-related issues with guidance from senior consultants.
• Develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Participate in after-hours support as part of the DevOps team when required.
• Maintain documentation and operational records.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with proactive monitoring and maintenance of the SAP landscape.
• Support SAP maintenance tasks and technical changes under guidance of senior team members.
• Provide first and second-level support during incidents.
• Assist with SAP Basis administration and technical operations activities.
• Help maintain availability and performance of SAP systems and databases.
• Participate in periodic maintenance activities, patching and upgrades.
• Assist with transport management and change implementation activities.
• Maintain technical documentation according to standards.
• Participate in after-hours support as part of the DevOps team when required
