M365connect is seeking a Senior iOS App Developer to own native iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI and to integrate Kotlin Multiplatform into iOS apps. You will develop and improve the iOS app, implement shared logic, and address permissions, lifecycle, background execution, and device compatibility.

Experience with GPS, BLE, UWB, and related location technologies is valuable; you will mentor a junior teammate and contribute to AI-assisted development and releases via TestFlight and the App

We are looking for a senior developer who can take ownership of iOS development, deliver reliable software, and help our team become more effective at building applications with AI.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior iOS App Developer with an excellent background in native iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI, together with practical experience integrating Kotlin Multiplatform into iOS applications.

This is a hands-on engineering role. You will develop and improve our iOS application, integrate shared application logic, solve complex technical problems, and establish effective workflows for AI-assisted and agentic development.

Experience with GPS, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Ultra-Wideband (UWB), or related location and proximity technologies would be particularly valuable.

You will also share your knowledge with our internal team, including mentoring a junior team member who is learning to build mobile applications through AI-assisted development, often referred to as "vibe coding".

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve our native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI.
• Integrate Kotlin Multiplatform modules into the iOS application and collaborate on shared business logic.
• Implement platform-specific functionality while maintaining consistent behavior across iOS and Android.
• Implement and troubleshoot location and proximity features involving GPS, BLE, UWB, and related device capabilities.
• Address practical iOS challenges such as permissions, application lifecycle, background execution, battery consumption, and device compatibility.
• Use AI coding assistants and coding agents extensively to implement features, investigate defects, refactor code, and support testing.
• Set up and improve agentic development workflows, including task decomposition, project context, automated checks, and review processes.
• Review and validate AI-generated code, taking responsibility for its correctness, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Test relevant functionality on real devices and investigate issues that automated tests alone may not reveal.
• Mentor our junior team member through practical demonstrations, pair programming, and clear explanations.
• Support application signing, release preparation, and distribution through TestFlight and the App Store.
• Document important technical decisions and share reusable knowledge with the internal team.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior-level experience delivering and maintaining production iOS applications.
• Excellent practical knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI, and the iOS development ecosystem.
• Practical experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and its integration into native iOS applications.
• Solid understanding of application architecture, asynchronous programming, lifecycle management, and state management.
• Strong debugging skills across application code, shared modules, APIs, and device behavior.
• Substantial hands-on experience using AI coding tools to deliver working software.
• A strong interest in agentic coding and the ability to establish effective development workflows around coding agents.
• The ability to assess AI-generated solutions critically and explain technical decisions.
• Willingness and ability to teach less experienced team members patiently and clearly.
• The ability to work independently, communicate progress clearly, and take ownership of results in a remote team.
• Interest in a long-term, full-time position and availability to start promptly after an agreement is reached.

• GPS positioning, location accuracy, geofencing, and sensor data.
• BLE discovery, advertising, connections, and proximity detection.
• UWB ranging, distance measurement, direction estimation, and hardware compatibility.
• NFC and other device-to-device interactions.
• Interoperability between Swift and Kotlin Multiplatform, including asynchronous operations and error handling.
• Building automated development and testing workflows that combine human oversight with coding agents.
