Job summary

Applaudo seeks an experienced Senior Azure DevOps & Platform Engineer to design secure Azure platforms, implement IaC with Terraform, and deploy landing zones for migrations. You will manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, enforce governance, and provide guidance to cross-functional teams.

Role requires strong English (B2+), contractor flexibility for US CT time, and hands-on expertise across networking, IAM, and container services (AKS, Container Apps, App Service, Function Apps).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of hands-on DevOps and cloud experience.
• Experience designing and implementing Azure tenant platforms aligned with Microsoft CAF.
• Expertise building Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
• Experience implementing Azure landing zones for migrations.
• Experience with Azure networking, including hub-spoke, Azure Firewall, VPN/ExpressRoute, Private DNS Zones, NSGs, and route tables.
• Terraform state management, imports, drift detection and reconciliation, secret management with Azure Key Vault.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure tenant platforms aligned with CAF standards.
• Build, deploy, and maintain Terraform IaC solutions.
• Implement Azure landing zones to support migrations.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, source control, and workflows using Azure DevOps for infra and apps.
• Review PRs and handle infra requests in Kanban.
• Automate resource provisioning, scaling, and infra management.
• Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Enforce Azure security controls and governance; monitor performance and cost.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with business needs.
