Job summary
BairesDev is seeking a Security Engineer (Application) to safeguard our software at the application layer and embed security into the development lifecycle. You will drive threat modeling, conduct secure code reviews, and coordinate automated testing across SDLC.
Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in security or software engineering, hands-on experience with SAST/DAST tools, and strong English communication to collaborate with our global teams.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Application Security, cybersecurity, or software engineering.
- Experience performing threat modeling and secure code reviews based on the OWASP Top 10.
- Hands-on with SAST/DAST tools (Semgrep, SonarQube, Snyk, OWASP ZAP).
- Strong understanding of integrating security into the SDLC.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct threat modeling sessions early in design to identify risks.
- Perform secure code reviews to detect logic flaws and ensure security.
- Execute automated security testing workflows using SAST/DAST.
- Collaborate with development teams to remediate OWASP Top 10 findings.
- Develop automated security validation tests to identify weaknesses.
- Promote security‑first coding patterns across applications.
