Job summary

Altius is seeking a Rehabilitation Consultant based in Miranda to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation for individuals affected by injury, illness or disability.

You will develop personalised rehabilitation plans, conduct assessments (FCEs, Workplace, Ergonomic, ADLS) and work with clients, families, insurers and employers to support safe return to work.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
• Full AHPRA or ESSA registration is required.
• Current drivers' licence and access to own transport.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation.
• Complete assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS).
• Use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones.
• Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants.
• Work closely with clients, families, insurance companies, employers and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors.
• Present case information to stakeholders and provide credible recommendations to drive the desired goal.

YOUR NEW ROLE

Working from Miranda office as a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play an instrumental role in facilitating the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals who have experienced injury, illness, or disability. Your clinical expertise and guidance will be pivotal in supporting individuals regain independence, improve their quality of life, and reintegrate into the community and the workforce.

• Develop personalised rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation


• Complete a range of assessments including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments and Activities of Daily Living Assessment (ADLS).


• Use lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return to work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones


• Utilise problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return to work of claimants
