Job summary

PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER at OCHA

Grade: P-3.

Location: Caracas, Venezuela.

Within delegated authority, the Public Information Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

• Conduct reporting and analysis by establishing and maintaining reporting system within the country;
• Ensure flow of information and analysis of developments in Venezuela, including tracking trends and sharing reports with HQ and key partners; identify with the Head of Office the suite of products that should be produced and establish systems to ensure predictability in production.
• Initiate and sustain professional relationships with key constituencies, including establishing and maintaining a network of local and regional humanitarian communication focal points.
