Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead maintenance and housekeeping for a senior living community in Valencia. You will supervise staff, plan preventative maintenance, and ensure safe, clean operations across the property.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and coordinating with management to maintain high service standards for residents and families alike.

Formación

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer 2 years in maintenance/housekeeping in a building setting.
  • Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
  • Prefer 1 year supervising and managing employees.
  • Able to safely operate a wide variety of equipment and tools.
  • Interest or ability to learn assisted living and dementia care.

Responsabilidades

  • Plan, organize, develop and direct maintenance and housekeeping operations.
  • Oversee maintenance and housekeeping departments to keep property safe, clean and comfortable.
  • Demonstrate mechanical ability and self-teaching to repair equipment (washers, dryers, refrigeration, etc.).
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA guidelines and safety standards.

refrigeration and heating units; ice machines; minor plumbing; minor electrical difficulties such as replacement of wall switches receptacles loose wiring and resident call devices; carpentry and painting etc explained in more detail belowELECTRICAL DUTIES Must be knowledgeable and capable of self teaching involving troubleshooting identifying a problem and obtaining materials to fully repair electrical difficulties including but not limited to wall switches interiorexterior lighting cover plates receptacles loose wiring resident call systems control devices laundry and kitchen equipmentSTRUCTURAL DUTIES Must be knowledgeable and capable of self teaching regarding planning ordering and installing cabinets for remodeling of apartments Performing carpentry duties such as repairing or replacing sheetrock plywood andor structural materials Repairing resident furPAINTING DUTIES Must be knowledgeable and capable of self teaching to include but not limited to planning ordering and performing painting requirements interiorexterior of the entire complex Work to be completed in a timely and professional manner Properly dispose of materials paint thinner lacquer etc ensuring compliance with local state and federal EPA guidelinesPLUMBING DUTIES Must be knowledgeable and capable of self teaching regarding planning ordering and performing minor plumbing problems including but not limited to repairing faucets showers drains and any other type of plumbing related problemConduct daily inspection of the propertys outside grounds Immediately correct any needed items to assure the property is always tour readyQualifications Must have a high school diploma or equivalentPrefer two 2 years experience in the building industry maintenance andor housekeeping handling the upkeep repair and maintenance of electrical plumbing and structural matters Knowledge of building construction is helpfulPrefer one 1 year of experience supervising and managing employeesAble to safely operate a wide variety of equipment and toolsKnowledge of andor ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia careAble to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individualsAble to be flexible adapt and respond to change make decisions in stressful situations and prioritize tasks and projects Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB TestsFor the health and safety of our team members and residents Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate participate in daily screening surveillance testing and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment PPE to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelinesOakmont Management Group based in Irvine California is a recognized leader in the senior living industry that manages a portfolio of communities under the Oakmont Senior Living and Ivy Living brands OMG serves thousands of seniors across communities in California Nevada and Hawaii At OMG we strive to create an atmosphere of family and community among team members residents and resident family members We know that caring and meaningful relationships are the foundation of a rewarding life and our team is hand selected for their skills previous experience and passion for working with the elderly Our practice is to incorporate joy and laughter alongside our expectations of excellence Walk into our communities and feel our pride of ownership and commitment to service
