Position: Director of Finance/Controller

What You Will Do

• Achieve: As the primary fiscal representative with a meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy for compliant and timely financial records and reports, drive results through financial planning, analytics and reporting; leverage technology, including oversight of IT functions, and data to advise on financial strategy.

• Lead: Maintain a culture that motivates and guides the accounting team. Capitalize on your expertise to be a strategic partner, contributing to risk management, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and adapting new technologies like artificial intelligence to gain a competitive advantage.

• Communicate: Communicate with your team and with appropriate staff members from other parts of the organization to create a positive, productive work atmosphere. Collaborate with peers to support agency messaging and implementation of key initiatives. Effectively communicate financial information to various stakeholders.

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance required.
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP required.
• Active CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Supervisory experience mandatory.
• Valid CA Class C Driver’s License
• Must have access to a reliable passenger vehicle and proof of auto insurance that supports completion of essential and ancillary functions of the position, including spontaneous travel to other Goodwill locations.
• Strong technical skills in accounting and IT
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
