Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Field Service Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of combustion turbines, steam turbines, generators and auxiliaries.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).

• Lead and support field service teams during installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities on large turbines, generators, and related systems.
• Coordinate on-site project execution and staffing while ensuring contractual compliance and customer expectations.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations to customers, suppliers, and Siemens Energy stakeholders regarding equipment condition and maintenance strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, customer recommendations, and safety documentation for outages.

A Snapshot of Your Day As a CT Large Gas Turbine Field Service Engineer, you will perform complex and technically demanding field service activities on large combustion turbines, steam turbines, generators, and associated auxiliary systems. You will be responsible for supporting maintenance outages, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and commissioning activities at customer sites while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will provide technical expertise and leadership to ensure successful project execution. Please note: This position is based in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Candidates should be willing to reside in or relocate to the area as required by the business.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead and support field service teams, technicians, and craft labor personnel during installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities on large combustion turbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate on-site project execution and staffing while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and customer expectations.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations to customers, suppliers, and Siemens Energy stakeholders regarding equipment condition, repairs, and maintenance strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance documentation, customer recommendations, check sheets, and safety documentation for planned and unplanned outages.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy EHS, Quality, and Integrated Management System requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Identify business development opportunities that contribute to customer satisfaction and company growth.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Field Service Engineer supporting large gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, or similar rotating equipment.
• Strong technical knowledge of combustion turbines, steam turbines, electrical generators, and associated auxiliary systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Experience leading field activities, coordinating teams, interpreting technical documentation, and executing customer-facing service projects.
• Professional working proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time, including short-notice assignments when required.
