What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Collaborate with the actuarial team to complete incurred but not reported (IBNR) estimates and rate adequacy studies
  • Analyze results to identify trends or issues related to medical care costs
  • Design and perform actuarial studies related to medical care costs and trends
  • Generate and distribute routine reports to support IBNR calculations and financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of claim experience reports, rate models, and state regulatory reports
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • At least 1 year of actuarial experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • At least 2 passing Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams
  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field
  • Advanced understanding of statistics and predictive analytics
  • Strong time‑management skills and ability to manage simultaneous projects to meet deadlines

  • Experience working with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Understanding of insurance concepts and key actuarial terminology
