Job summary

Amcor Evansville is seeking a dedicated warehouse operator to support inbound and outbound material movements on site. You will operate forklifts, ensure accurate inventory, and maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.

The role requires flexibility with shifts, strong communication, and adherence to ISO/SQF guidelines. Prior experience with JDE and DC Link is preferred, along with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience with DC Link and JDE required.
  • Understanding of BOLs, packing lists and PO documents.
  • Excellent attendance and performance records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Maintain safety, environment and health requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Transport materials for outbound and inbound loads.
  • Operate forklift to load rack systems and stack corrugate.
  • Follow flexible schedules to meet production needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse.
  • Follow Rolling Stock program guidelines.
  • Complete HR MyDevelopment courses and required trainings.
  • Understand ISO & SQF guidelines and policies.
  • Read delivery schedules and track shipments.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job description

PURPOSE

Provide materials for operations, ship finished goods, orders and maintain clean organized accurate inventory.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Transport material for any outbound loads and/or inbound loads
  • Operate any forklift vehicle required for loading rack systems and/or stacking of corrugate
  • Ability to work on any schedule that is flexible for production requirements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized and accurate warehouse
  • Follow all guidelines within the Rolling Stock program
  • Take and score highly on all yearly HR required MyDevelopment Courses, and any other courses that are deemed necessary:
    • Sexual Harassment
    • Life Saving Behaviors
    • Amcor code of Business Ethics
    • HACCP / GMP / Allergen Training
    • Active Shooter 2.0
    • Culture of Inclusion
    • Partnering for the Planet 2
  • Understand and abide by all set standards and guidelines within the Logistics Department
  • Any other tasks or projects assigned
  • Understands and will adhere to all ISO & SQF guidelines and policies
AUTHORITIES
  • Complete efficiency documentation, material-tracking documentation and utilize JDE and/or MEP system tracking
  • Ability to understand Consignment program and EV3 procedures and locations
  • Read, understand and maintain delivery schedule
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred
  • Proven ability of understanding DC Link and JDE
  • Understanding of BOL's, Packing list and PO# documents
  • Excellent attendance and job performance records
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environment and Department of Health
    requirements
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have Amcor Fork Truck Operating License
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. multiple times a day
  • Prior MEP experience preferred
  • Ability to climb on and off a forklift safely and without assistance at a minimum of 30 times an hour
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift in high traffic, low clearance areas while not posing a safety risk to others
  • Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness
  • Hearing sufficiently recognize and respond to shouted warnings alarms and horns on forklifts
  • Stereopticon vision of 20/40 or better and peripheral vision of 70 degrees or greater and ability to read 10-12-point font at a distance of 12-18 inches
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds over shoulder height a minimum of 10 times per hour
  • Able to work in extremes of heat / cold
  • Able to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building
