Job summary

Zuern Building Products & Design Center is seeking a Material Handler for our Madison location. The candidate will load materials for delivery, stock shelves, and assist inside sales with orders.

Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings, and potential for skill development and career growth. Responsibilities include organizing storage, maintaining product quality and safety, and assisting with yard duties.

Qualifications

• Fork lift certification required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and carry 25 to over 100 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Alert, focused and detail-oriented.
• Physically and mentally fit.
• Self starter who works well independently and with others.
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Load materials to be delivered.
• Load customer orders processed from inside sales counter.
• Stock and maintain product in bins.
• Put away stock and special order returns.
• Organize, stock and maintain other storage sheds.
• Basic housekeeping (sweep aisles, straighten piles, pick up scraps).
• Care of product against damage.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.
• Drive or deliver when needed.
• Ensure correct product loading and accuracy.
• Lock up yard at end of day.
• Other duties as required by management.

Zuern Building Products & Design Center is currently looking for the right person to join our Material Handling team at our Madison location. Must be available Monday through Friday, occasional Saturdays from 8am-12pm. This role offers the right candidate the potential to develop new skills with career advancement opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Loading of materials to be delivered.
2. Load customer orders that are processed from inside sales counter.
3. Stock and maintain product in bins.
4. Put away stock and special order returns.
5. Organize, stock and maintain other storage sheds.
6. Basic housekeeping. ie: sweep aisles, straighten piles, pick up scraps.
7. Care of product against damage.
8. Attention to safety procedures at all times.
9. Driving or delivery when needed.
10. Attention to detail and accuracy in loading the correct product.
11. Lock up yard at the end of each day.
12. Other duties upon request by a manager/owner.

Requirements
