Job summary

Klehr Harrison is seeking a junior associate to join our renowned Zoning and Land Use practice. The position supports our rapidly-growing suburban Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley and Central Pennsylvania land use and zoning practice.

Applicants should have experience representing property owners, developers, tenants and/or municipalities in the land entitlement and development process, including filing zoning/use permit applications, reviewing zoning plans and appearing before planning boards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in zoning and land use.
• J.D. or equivalent degree from a U.S. law school.
• Familiarity with the Pennsylvania MPC.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Be proactive and self-starting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to respond to direction and feedback.
• Ability to work well with staff and leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with collaborative spirit and camaraderie.
• Attention to accuracy and detail; deliver thorough work product.
• Admitted to PA Bar.

The position supports our rapidly-growing suburban Philadelphia, Lehigh Valley and Central Pennsylvania land use and zoning practice. Applicants should have experience representing property owners, developers, tenants and/or municipalities in numerous aspects of the land entitlement and development process, including preparing and filing zoning/use permit applications, reviewing and interpreting zoning plans, and appearing before zoning and planning boards and community organizations. Appellate experience is a plus.

Candidates Should Possess The Following

• 1-3 years of experience in zoning and land use.
• Strong academic credentials, including a J.D. or equivalent degree from a well-respected U.S. law school.
• Familiarity with the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code (MPC).
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Be proactive and self-starting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to respond productively to direction and feedback and to work well with staff and leadership
• An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, manage workflow priorities and meet deadlines.
• Be a team player – be collaborative and work with a spirit of camaraderie.
• Outstanding attention to accuracy and detail and commitment to work product that is thorough, complete and excellent.
• Admitted to PA Bar.
