Graybar Electric Company is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler in Richmond, VA. You will receive, store, select, pack and ship inventory using a Warehouse Management System and related equipment, contributing to efficient warehouse operations.

The role requires standing, lifting and operating equipment in varying temperatures with safety as a priority. Prior large-warehouse experience and ability to pass a pre-employment physical are preferred.

• 2+ years in large warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse equipment as part of daily workflow.

• Select, pack and palletize shipments for outbound orders.
• Sort and pack LTL shipments and conduct cycle counts.
• Maintain clean workspace and perform daily safety inspections.

You will receive, store, select, pack, and ship warehouse inventory. Our Zone utilizes a Warehouse Management System so technology is required to perform this job. As an employee-owned company, our employees are key to our success and are given opportunities to learn and grow into higher level positions.**In this role you will:*** Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts* Receive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system process* Select, pack and palletize shipments* Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle counts* Maintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections**What you bring to the table:*** No fear of heights* Perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures, depending on the location; must pass pre-employment physical testing* Minimum 18 years of age required* Good attendance and work ethic* 2+ years experience preferred* Prior large warehouse experience using a warehouse management system preferred**Work Shift and Hours:*** Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 8:00pm.**Compensation Details:*** The expected pay rate for this position is $19.19 per hour ($18.19 per hour + $1.00 per hour shift differential).**Additional Information:*** Steel toed boots required.The Value of Graybar:At Graybar, we are known for our comprehensive benefits and our employee stock ownership plan!
