Job summary

Graybar is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler in Minneapolis. You will receive, store, select, pack and ship warehouse inventory using a Warehouse Management System. The role expects physical work and adherence to safety procedures in a employee-owned environment.

Typical shift is Monday–Friday, 12:00pm–9:00pm, with a wage starting at $19.50 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential and $2.00 department differential depending on experience. No weekends or night shifts for most roles in this team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Good attendance and work ethic.
• No fear of heights and able to pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Comfort with safety procedures and daily inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts.
• Receive and store incoming material per WMS.
• Select, pack and palletize shipments.
• Sort and pack LTL shipments and conduct cycle counts.
• Maintain clean, safe warehouse and perform daily safety checks.

As a Warehouse Material Handler, you will ensure products get where they need to be. You will receive, store, select, pack, and ship warehouse inventory. Our Zone utilizes a Warehouse Management System so technology is required to perform this job. Work Shift And Hours

• Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 9:00pm

Compensation Details

• The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $19.50 per hour + $2.00 per hour shift differential + $2.00 department differential depending on experience.

In This Role You Will

• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts
• Receive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system process
• Select, pack and palletize shipments
• Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle counts
• Maintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections

What You Bring To The Table

• No fear of heights
• Perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures, depending on the location; must pass pre-employment physical testing
• Minimum age of 18 required
• Good attendance and work ethic
• 2+ years experience preferred
• Prior large warehouse experience using a warehouse management system preferred
