Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of TAR management or project engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Maximo and I-Procurement.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience supervising or managing projects from $250K to $10MM.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in field/corporate environments.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Zone Maintenance Planner is responsible for organizing and executing turnaround (TAR) and capital projects (CAPEX) ranging from $100,000 to $3,000,000. They develop detailed plans and strategies for TAR and CAPEX execution, including HSE planning, contracting, procurement, project controls, and staffing. This role is critical for optimizing the execution of complex turnaround and capital projects to support the reliable operation of Air Separation and Carbon Dioxide plants.

Pay Range: $105k - $115k/annually
Bonus : 10%
Travel: Up to 25%
Work schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 4pm, or normal business hours
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
  • Accountable for safety, environmental and regulatory compliance
  • Model safety behavior; enforce safety rules; establish safety culture
  • Ensure effective utilization of the Turnaround (TAR) Process for ASU, CO2 and VSA locations.
  • Assure roles/responsibilities regarding the TAR are clearly understood by all those involved
  • Drive engagement; ensure alignment of the team with TAR objectives
  • Ensure complete and timely integration of any Capital, Controls, Engineering or Operations projects scope within the TAR plan; report on its progress throughout the TAR process
  • Ensure TAR development and execution is properly planned and staffed, including interfacing with Safety, Engineering, Controls & Operations to assure adequate participation
  • Lead development of detailed plans/strategies for TAR execution, including HSE planning, contracting and procurement strategy, project controls, etc.
  • Drive material management and QA/QC process throughout the TAR process
  • Drive optimization of the TAR schedule and resource loading
  • Recommend and manage appropriate TAR organization to deliver scope, schedule and cost requirements
  • Ensure all pre-TAR work is completed and materials are received prior to outage
  • Manage the scope change process
  • Communicate to the Steering Team in a timely manner on TAR status, issues and concerns; provide solutions for open issues
  • Assure issues are resolved in a timely manner to minimize impacts
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on cost and schedule performance during the TARs. Also complete the post TAR meetings and zone forecast reports.
Are you a MATCH?
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of TAR management or project engineering experience
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office applications- Word, Excel, PowerPoint Project, Maximo and I-Procurement.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in areas of procurement, evaluation and selection of contractors, contracts and negotiation
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel
  • Comfortable in both corporate and field environments
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize in periods of peak work volume
  • Ability to work self directed, make sound decisions
  • Knowledge of implementing and participating in continuous improvement procedures
  • Experience supervising or managing projects from $250K to $10MM
  • Willingness/ability to travel up to 25% of the time to fulfill responsibilities; can travel on short notice (2 to 10 days)
  • Has full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Able to climb ladders, work off elevated platforms/surfaces
  • Able to enter confined spaces for inspection/testing, while wearing fall restraint and respirators
  • Physical range of motion required to climb and descend ladders, work at heights above 50 feet
