Job Summary

The Zone Lead (ZL) reports to the Zone Manager and supports merchandising in designated zones, maintaining an active selling culture by ensuring visual aspects are set and upheld to documented company standards designed to drive sales. The ZL provides expertise in visual standards, merchandising techniques, fixturing, and implementation of all in-store marketing elements (signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first look/flash finds) that reinforce seasons/holidays and in-store promotions within their designated areas. The ZL influences store team members to be knowledgeable about visual merchandising and visual standards, while demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. The role requires enthusiasm for vigorous lifting, carrying, moving around the warehouse-format store, and stocking.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the visual merchandising processes for the store by planning, in conjunction with the Zone Manager, and leading transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets while maintaining visual integrity and an organized environment, inspiring guests through compelling visual merchandising.
• Support task management by planning/executing daily/weekly workload and assigned tasks as delegated by the Zone Manager to deliver on visual merchandising, department and store sales goals, and guest engagement, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and timely.
• Participate in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions.
• Process freight sorts, stock product in designated areas, including down stocking and end-cap maintenance, while maintaining a neat, clean, organized zone.
• Support the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss-prevention expense control, and customer experience so the store operates effectively and profitably; participate in regular meetings/huddles on these subjects.
• Serve as a role model and coach, providing continuous learning opportunities.
• Leverage daily interactions to communicate and teach/training visual priorities and creation of visual moments that support the customer experience.
• Review the store’s financial and business data from the store scorecard and take action within assigned zones to improve metrics.
• Ensure maintenance of a neat, clean, organized zone, ensuring the store is always updated with current signs and setups.
• Perform all other duties assigned based on business needs.
• Work nights and weekends (open availability).

Qualifications And Competencies

• At least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be completed.
• Communicates clearly and concisely with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and team lift 100 lbs, and move merchandise routinely around the warehouse-format store.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to bend, climb, and reach at times; work effectively independently and within a team.
