Job summary

j- in Rockford, IL is seeking a Zinc Line Operator to run the Zinc 4 line efficiently and produce product within customer specifications. You will review work orders, start up and shut down line, select proper Zinc program, and verify weights for each barrel.

You will inspect barrels for wear, use X-Ray to verify zinc coating, and operate a forklift while maintaining safety, quality, and production targets in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions.
• Basic math skills for weight calculations and quality checks.
• Forklift driving certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders at shift start and inspect line and barrels.
• Start up and shut down Zinc line in proper sequence and run Zinc program.
• Calculate weight loads per barrel and ensure correct loading.
• Inspect parts using available quality checks and operate forklift as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate issues clearly.
