Job summary

A leading safety management firm is seeking a Safety Manager for its Georgia operations. The role involves providing safety leadership and minimizing potential hazards such as employee injuries and property damage. Candidates should have at least 5 years in safety training within the construction industry, with knowledge of OSHA regulations. This position is full-time, requiring moderate travel across Georgia and Carolina offices, and includes both on-site and office responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in applied safety training functions in the construction industry.
• Specific mechanical contractor trade experience is a plus.
• Additional training credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate business processes and historical incident rates to design incident reduction projects.
• Manage and monitor projects by tracking action items and outcomes.
• Develop relationships with Profit Center/Department Leaders on safety progress.

Skills

Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, and DOT

Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Outlook

Education

Completion of coursework/certificate programs in construction safety

OSHA 500 or 510 minimum training credentials

Work towards professional certifications such as CSP, ARM, CHST or CIH
