Job summary

Hudson Restaurant Group is seeking Team Members for Zaxby’s in Portland, TN, to work as cashiers or cooks and deliver great guest experiences.

All training is provided, and there are both full-time and part-time opportunities with a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment. We value reliability, friendliness, and a willingness to learn, with growth potential within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to work approximately 10–40 hours per week.
• Dependable and ready to work when scheduled.
• Friendly, energetic and committed to providing excellent service.
• Able to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to learn and work as part of a team.
• No previous restaurant experience required.

• Complete the comprehensive Zaxby’s training program.
• Provide friendly, enthusiastic service to every guest.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, accuracy and speed.
• Enthusiastically represent the Zaxby’s brand.
• Follow company operating, food-safety and workplace-safety procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organized.
• Work cooperatively with teammates and restaurant leadership.
• Complete assigned responsibilities accurately and on time.
• Support other areas of the restaurant when needed.
• Demonstrate urgency, teamwork and professionalism.

Team Member Positions

Cashier

Cashiers are often the first point of contact for our guests and play an important role in delivering a great experience.

• Promptly greet guests and thank them as they leave
• Explain menu items, answer questions and communicate current promotions
• Accurately enter and complete guest orders
• Accept payments and operate the point-of-sale system
• Assemble, package and present guest orders accurately
• Maintain a clean and welcoming dining room, counter and beverage area
• Stock paper goods, condiments, utensils and beverages
• Provide friendly, accurate service with a sense of urgency

Cook

Cooks create a great guest experience by consistently preparing and serving quality food in a timely manner.

• Prepare, cook and assemble menu items according to Zaxby’s standards
• Safely operate food-preparation and cooking equipment
• Follow recipes, portioning requirements and food-safety procedures
• Maintain product quality, freshness and proper holding temperatures
• Receive, organize and stock inventory
• Keep kitchen, equipment and storage areas clean and organized
• Inform restaurant leadership of inventory and equipment needs
• Complete guest orders accurately and with a sense of urgency

Physical and Work Requirements

Team Members must be able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Occasionally stooping, bending, crouching or climbing
• Frequently lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Regularly using hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation
• Communicating effectively through speaking, reading and writing
• Working around hot and cold temperatures and common food allergens
• Safely operating restaurant equipment appropriate for the employee’s age and assigned duties
