Job summary

AMG Vanadium LLC is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist with prior management experience to oversee the day-to-day activities, implementation, and administration of environmental, health and safety programs.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory compliance knowledge, and the ability to develop and enforce site safety policies, lead audits, investigations, and safety training across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental, health and safety management in industrial settings.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, ANSI, NEC, NFPA.
• RCRA and/or Title V Air Permit experience; preferably for a Large Quantity Generator.
• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 understanding and experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and environmental programs on site.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, environmental regulations and permits.
• Develop and enforce site safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship with employee engagement.
• Conduct regular safety and environmental audits and inspections.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Oversee training programs and contractor safety management.
• Lead site Safety Council and manage emergency response drills.

Overview

AMG Vanadium LLC is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist with prior management experience to oversee the day-to-day activities, implementation, and administration of environmental, health and safety programs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead by example and comply with all AMG V safety and environmental requirements, policies, and procedures, including AMG’s Code of Business Conduct
• Embrace and promote the AMG V culture in day-to-day activities; foster and promote a positive, respectful work environment aligned with AMG’s values
• Ensure workforce compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, etc.), Environmental Regulatory and Permit Requirements, and company standards
• Develop and enforce site environmental and safety policies and procedures
• Promote and enforce safe work practices at the site; develop a safety culture with employee engagement as a core pillar
• Promote and enforce a culture of environmental compliance and stewardship
• Conduct regular environmental and safety audits and inspections
• Responsible for environmental and safety communication and reporting
• Manage documentation as required to maintain compliance with all applicable standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 program engagement
• Lead compliance training programs
• Ensure and support the timely completion of safety and environmental incident investigations, driving to root cause and corrective action implementation
• Lead and provide oversight of employee health initiatives and programs
• Manage contractor safety program and training
• Lead site Safety Council
• Maintain emergency response system and protocol; train and execute drills and exercises on responsible management of emergency situations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, occupational health and safety, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental, health and safety management in industrial settings
