Job summary

Z1 Motorsports Inc. in Villa Rica, GA is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support the Engineering & Quality Department in achieving quality targets.

You will inspect, sort, and rework automotive performance parts and document QC activities to ensure product conformity and customer satisfaction. Working at the distribution center, you will perform audits across facilities, alert staff to issues, and assist with non-quality site operations when needed, all while following safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience with basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and extract measurement information.
• Excel proficiency for Quality Control documentation.
• Clear communication of inspection findings in a timely manner.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Able to work in hot or cold warehouse environments.
• Willingness to travel between Z1 Motorsports facilities (~15 min).
• High School Diploma, GED, or higher.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs or more.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

Description

The Z1 Motorsports Quality Control Technician [Q.C. Tech] will be responsible for assisting with the achievement of the overall Quality targets as set by the Engineering & Quality Department Management. The Quality Control Technician will report to the Quality Manager and will work closely with the Quality Operations Lead, Pre-Pack, Warehouse & Customer Service teams.

The Quality Control Technician will be required to multitask and have the ability to quickly redirect their focus as product quality concerns arise. The priorities of the Quality team will be triaged based on multiple factors and can change multiple times throughout the workday.

The Quality Control Technician is a critical position within the Z1 Motorsports team helping to ensure both satisfactory customer experience and maintain the company’s Global reputation as a leader in the Nissan & Infiniti performance parts industry.

The QC Technician position will be based at the Z1 Motorsports Distribution Center at:
107 Boggs Rd
Villa Rica, GA 30180

Responsibilities [Task = 70%]:

• Work either in a team or individual based environment to inspect, sort & rework automotive performance parts.
• Complete necessary Quality Inspection documentation.
• Perform Quality Control Audits at both Z1 Motorsports facilities as needed.
• Alert appropriate staff of quality issues as they are discovered and begin preliminary containment actions to prevent the outflow of nonconforming products to customers.

Additional Responsibilities [Task = 30%]

• Assist with non-Quality related Site 2 operations on a limited, as needed basis.
• Pre-Pack Assembly assistance.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Experience using basic hand tools & measuring equipment. [On the job training of specialized equipment to be provided; Ability testing will be performed]
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and extract critical measurement information. [Testing will be performed]
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office experience [Microsoft Excel] – Necessary to complete required Quality Control documentation.
• Ability to clearly communicate findings during inspection audits in a timely manner.
• Ability to work with limited supervision as needed.
• Ability to work both in either Hot or Cold warehouse environments [30% of time].
• Ability to travel between Z1 Motorsports facilities [~15 min] as necessary.
• High School Diploma, GED, or higher.
• Ability to lift 40lbs+.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience / exposure to Jira Project management suite.
• Prior Inspection or Assembly related experience.
• Automotive background and/or basic understanding in automotive maintenance.
• Passion for automotive performance.
