Job summary

HardScope is seeking a talented Video Editor to own edits across a slate of original programming, creator collaborations, and branded content. You will work with the Studio and Production teams from rough cut to final delivery, shaping storytelling and pacing for maximum audience retention.

This hands-on role requires a deep understanding of creator content, fast delivery without sacrificing quality, and the ability to operate across long-form formats on YouTube and other platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing long-form YouTube content and understanding retention drivers.
• Deep familiarity with creator culture and formats.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics.
• Experience editing branded or sponsorship content with seamless integration.
• Highly self-sufficient with strong project management for fast-paced production.

The Role

HardScope is looking for a talented and self-driven Video Editor to join our in-house production team. You'll own the edit across a slate of original programming, creator collaborations, and branded content working closely with our Studio and Production teams to bring concepts to life from rough cut to final delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone who lives and breathes creator content, moves fast without sacrificing quality, and knows instinctively what makes an audience stick around.

Responsibilities

• Leads end-to-end post-production on long-form video content across platforms
• Collaborates closely with directors, producers, and creative leads from rough cut through final delivery
• Establishes and maintains editorial standards, pacing, and storytelling frameworks across projects
• Oversees and mentoring junior editors and post-production staff
• Manages multiple concurrent timelines under fast-paced production schedules
• Contributes to pre-production planning, including story structure and shot list review
• Ensures consistency in quality, tone, and brand voice across all published content

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing long-form YouTube content with a strong understanding of what drives retention and performance on each platform.
• Deep familiarity with creator culture. You watch this content, you understand the format, and you don't need a crash course in the space.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; working knowledge of After Effects or motion graphics tools to execute lower thirds, transitions, and light animated elements independently.
• Experience editing branded or sponsored content, with the ability to integrate partner moments naturally into creator-driven storytelling without disrupting the viewer experience.
• Highly self-sufficient with strong project management instincts. Able to take a brief from raw footage to polished deliverable, manage versions, and hit deadlines in a fast-moving, high-output production environment.
