Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Justice & Public Safety Cabinet, Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice, seeks a Youth Worker Supervisor in Monticello. This highly responsible, full-time position leads shift staff, oversees youth supervision, and ensures proper training and documentation.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and two years’ supervisory experience with youths in related settings, plus a valid driver’s license. Overtime opportunities may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of supervision and care of youth ages 12–21 in residential, correctional, group home, detention, or day treatment settings.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• DJJ Training Academy or equivalent can substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift staff; coordinate staff schedules; ensure subordinate training and policy adherence.
• Monitor juvenile behavior; report unusual events to management; document interventions.
