Job summary

Commonpoint Queens (Samuel Field YM and YWHA) seeks Youth Workers for its Bay Terrace Bayside after‑school program. Salary is based on experience. Part‑time role with Monday–Friday afternoons, 2:30pm–6:00pm, totaling about 19 hours weekly, in Bayside, NY.

Ideal candidates will supervise children aged 5–14, assist with daily activities, maintain a clean space, and coordinate arrivals and departures while collaborating with staff and program leadership. Experience with disabilities is a plus.

Commonpoint (formerly Commonpoint Queens) is a 501(c)(3) non‑profit community center serving over 10,000 persons of diverse backgrounds in Queens. We are currently looking for Youth Workers to staff our special education after‑school program at our Bay Terrace, Bayside location. Salary is based on experience. Strong preference for candidates who can commit to five days a week, from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. Some extended hours and occasional weekend opportunities are available.

Job Details

• Salary: $18‑$20 per hour (commensurate with experience).
• Approximate Start Date: September 2026 (through June 2027).
• Days: Monday–Friday.
• Hours: 19hours per week (2:30pm – 6:00pm).
