Program Overview:

Within our framework of holistic, strength-focused, and family-supported practice, an individual hired as the Youth Worker at the Youth Opportunity Hub will report directly to the Director, Youth Opportunity Hub. Youth Opportunity Hub

Commonpoint is seeking a well-qualified applicant for the Youth Opportunity Hub. The Youth Worker plays a key role in supporting the operation and maintenance of the Youth Opportunity Hub. This position assists in providing a welcoming environment for youth programs, events, and activities. Staff will work closely with youth program coordinators, staff, and volunteers to ensure smooth operations and help promote positive experiences for our participants. The Youth Worker will adhere to Commonpoint's framework of a holistic (social, emotional, physical, and cognitive) Human Development Model of a family-supported, strength-focused, and hope-engendering practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent
• Detail-oriented and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication - verbal and written, analytical, and time management skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Director of the Youth Opportunity Hub with providing a safe and supportive environment.
• Provide administrative support including organizing and maintaining information.
• Be organized and occasionally support with clerical tasks as requested.
• Manage workflow by ensuring deadlines are met and all work is completed correctly.
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Work with the Director to prioritize programming needs.
• Set up and break down equipment, materials, and spaces for activities and events. Ensure that all spaces are kept clean, safe, and organized for the next program or event.
• Work closely with program coordinators, youth leaders, and volunteers to support operations.
• Support in collecting Youth Hub attendance sheets and following up with staff on data upload.
• Perform other duties requested by the Director.

Hours and Salary

Part-Time, 15 Hours/Week
Salary: $17/Hr
