Job summary
Alerion Healthcare is seeking a Psychiatrist for a contract position in Waco, Texas. You may work on-site or remotely via telepsychiatry, with a Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule and a focus on youth behavioral health.
The role requires an unrestricted Texas medical license, board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry, DEA registration, and an active NPI, along with strong communication and EHR skills to document care efficiently and consistently.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Active DEA registration.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health records (EHR).
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnose psychiatric disorders.
- Develop and provide appropriate treatment for psychiatric conditions.
- Evaluate and document clinical justification for medication use.
- Maintain timely documentation of clinical encounters in EMR.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Complete all required facility training and documentation.
