Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Youth Service is seeking Youth Support Workers for evening, part-time posts across Ellesmere Port, Chester, and Northwich/Winsford. You will engage and support young people aged 11–19 (up to 25 for SEND and/or Care Leavers) in youth zones and in community outreach, delivering detached and outreach work.

Role focuses on talking with young people, planning activities, and delivering arts, cooking, music and crafts sessions.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting young people who may be struggling to build a brighter future.
• Ability to form meaningful professional relationships with diverse groups of young people.
• Ability to act quickly and appropriately when a young person is in danger or at risk.
• Experience delivering engaging activities is not required but a proactive approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of young people aged 11–19 (up to 25 for SEND or Care Leavers).
• Plan activities based on needs and interests of the group.
• Deliver sessions in arts, cooking, music and crafts in an engaging way.
• Lead evening sessions and ensure a positive, safe environment.
• Be aware of the diverse needs of young people and respond appropriately.
• There will be a group task and an individual interview for shortlisted candidates.
