Job summary

Hillside seeks a Direct Support Professional I to work with youth and families in a trauma-informed, family-driven environment. You will deliver supervised daily living support, implement treatment plans, and document progress while collaborating with treatment teams.

The role emphasizes safety, de-escalation, and respectful interactions, with responsibilities including medication administration, transportation, and crisis response as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AMAP training within 1 year to meet health needs of individuals in care.
• CPR certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Unrestricted NYS driver’s license preferred; clean driving record and adequate insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for individuals per program standards and safety protocols.
• Develop, monitor, and report on treatment objectives and plans to support goals.
• Build professional relationships to support development and success.
• Provide activities that foster life and social skills for transitions and community interactions.
• Document emotional and behavioral status and communicate with families and funders.
• Assist with medications and routine documentation; transport to medical appointments.
