Epworth Children & Family Services Inc. seeks an Outreach Worker to identify needs of homeless, runaway, foster, and at-risk youth ages 11-24 and connect them with resources and basic supports in the St. Louis area.

The role involves conducting intakes, supervising drop-in center activities, providing crisis intervention, transporting youth to housing resources, and collaborating with partners to expand access to employment, education, medical care, and essential services.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working with runaway, homeless, and street youth is preferred.
• Familiarity with the St. Louis area, streets, and neighborhoods is highly recommended.
• HS Diploma or GED or higher; college coursework in social sciences preferred (60 hours).
• Class E license (or ability to obtain within 30 days) and valid auto insurance.

Aufgaben

• Complete intakes and conduct individual assessments with youth receiving street outreach services.
• Monitor and oversee youth in the Drop-in Center, assisting with laundry, meals, showers and basic needs.
• Connect participants to employment, education, medical, mental health and housing resources.
• Plan and facilitate events, and collaborate with volunteers and partners to provide resources.
