Job summary

YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is seeking a part-time Sports Official to ensure the health, safety and welfare of children in YMCA programs. You will officiate basketball and soccer, teach core skills in academy-style sessions, set up and maintain equipment, and model positive behavior for participants, parents, and volunteers.

Applicants should be able to obtain CPR/AED/FA certification, lift up to 50 pounds, run to keep pace, and work with youth aged 16 and up.

Responsibilities

• Officiate soccer and basketball games; supervise participants and ensure safety.
• Set up and take down equipment; diffuse conflicts and maintain a positive environment.
