Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a part-time Sports Monitor to support youth sports programs at Northeast Cobb YMCA. The role emphasizes safety, supervision, and reliable facility operations. You will monitor activities, assist staff, and respond to emergencies while maintaining positive member interactions.

Preferred candidates are 16+ with CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, able to work evenings or weekends, and capable of traveling to branch sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to independently get to the branch, gym, or fields for scheduled shifts.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Availability nights and weekends may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children with close supervision.
• Monitor sports practices, clinics, games or open play.
• Set up, monitor, maintain, and secure supplies, equipment, and buildings.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of facilities.
• Open and close facilities on evenings, weekends, or as needed.
• Respond to safety and emergency situations and report incidents.
• Communicate with members and staff regarding programs.
