Job summary

i9 Sports in Highland, CA is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Sports Coordinator to join our team and help create unforgettable athletic experiences for kids and families in the community. This hands-on role lets your passion for sports shine every day as you support youth programs.

You’ll assist with planning leagues and events, coordinating schedules and logistics, and working with coaches, referees, and volunteers to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Passion for youth sports, recreation, or athletic program coordination
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with staff, players, parents, and staff
• Ability to work Saturday's and flexible hours during sports seasons
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Experience in sports coaching, recreation, or event coordination preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and remain on your feet
• Must pass a background check in accordance with youth safety standards

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, organizing, and execution of youth sports leagues and events
• Coordinate schedules, field assignments, and game‑day logistics
• Assist the soccer, t‑ball and flag football Sport Coordinators, coaches, referees, and volunteers to ensure smooth program operations
• Engage with players, parents, and families to deliver a positive sports experience
• Help manage equipment, uniforms, and facility setup/breakdown
• Assist with participant registration, rosters, and administrative tasks
• Enforce i9 Sports safety guidelines and code of conduct policies
