Job summary

Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is seeking a passionate part-time soccer coach to work with children ages 2 to 8. You will conduct sessions, handle field setup and teardown, and help develop character through positive reinforcement while using our curriculum and developmentally appropriate teaching methods.

We offer paid training, flexible scheduling, and clear pathways to full-time roles or internships in coordinating programs, coaching management, marketing, partnerships, and more.

Qualifications

• No prior coaching experience required.
• Genuine passion for children and sports.
• Energetic, engaging and responsible.
• Safety conscious.
• Ability to adapt to ages 2–8.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Able to stand, jog and model soccer skills.
• Coaches must have or obtain state clearances.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soccer sessions for children aged 2–8, including field setup and takedown.
• Bring “Soccer Island” alive with enthusiasm and creativity.
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.
• Utilize Soccer Shots curriculum and early childhood development techniques.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment and follow all safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers and teachers.
