Job summary

Lad Lake in Port Washington, WI is seeking a part-time Skills Development Specialist to work one-on-one with youth in the community. You will plan and lead activities that align with each youth's goals in partnership with families and county staff.

This role emphasizes trust, positive modeling, and advocacy while coordinating with plan of care meetings and completing case notes. Evening and weekend hours are common, and travel is required.

Qualifications

• You must be 21 years or older.
• Must show proof of degrees, certifications, and specific skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must show proof of auto insurance coverage (bodily injury and property damage).
• Good communication skills.

• Provide quality activities that align with client’s goals.
• Build trust through commitment and consistency.
• Encourage the child to reach their full potential.
• Maintain open communication with families, supervisors, and county staff
• Attend Plan of Care meetings and monthly supervision as required
• Enter case notes for each meeting
• Report any criminal activity, abuse, or unusual happenings to your supervisor/county crisis line
• Meet Lad Lake training requirements
