Job summary

Abraxas Youth & Family Services is seeking a Training Specialist to develop and deliver orientation and ongoing training for staff across Woodridge and Southwood Interventions. You will ensure training records meet licensing requirements and support regional training initiatives.

The role emphasizes compliance, cross-site coordination, and professional development opportunities within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Alternative: associate degree + 3 years' relevant experience.
• High School diploma with 5 years' related experience accepted.
• Red Cross Trainer and Safe Crisis ManagementTrainer certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule, and provide orientation training for all new staff; enter training data into the system.
• Maintain staff training files per licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Design and deliver ongoing training programs for staff and facilities.
• Monitor staff training hours to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate onsite and offsite staff training and regional initiatives.
• Support program expansion with training for new facilities and programs.
• Collaborate with State trainers for programs under State contracts.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Associate’s degree or 60 credit hours & 3 years related experience

High School Diploma or GET + 5 years experience

Red Cross Trainer & Safe Crisis Management Trainer (preferred)
