Montclair Library in Dumfries, VA, part of Prince William County Government, seeks a visionary Youth Services Supervisor to lead the Youth Services department for children, teens, and families.

In this role you will reimagine youth engagement through innovative programming, community outreach, and exceptional public service. Start date and schedule align with Montclair Library’s open hours, with one evening per week and rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library or information science.
• 1 year of public library experience.
• Leadership or supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support Youth Services librarians and technicians.
• Act as PIC one evening per week, on alternating weekends, as needed.
• Maintain welcoming, safe environment by enforcing policies and conduct.
• Collaborate with Youth Services staff to plan and deliver programs for youth and families.
• Oversee Youth Services programming budget and orders for supplies.
• Track engagement by collecting statistics and preparing monthly reports.
• Provide direct customer service at the integrated service desk and assist patrons.
• Build and maintain strategic community partnerships for outreach.
• Contribute to system-wide Youth Services initiatives and policy feedback.
