Job summary

The Camden County Library System is seeking a Library Associate for Youth Services at the Gloucester Township-Blackwood Rotary Public Library. This 35 hr/wk position includes evenings and rotating Saturdays to support the community.

Responsibilities include developing youth programming, providing reference and reader's advisory services, assisting patrons with computers and technology, and contributing to collection development and outreach to schools. Applications due Oct 8, 2026.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree; MLIS student within 6 months of graduation.
• Completed application and resume required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present youth services programming, including story time and early literacy programs.
• Provide basic reference and reader's advisory services to all ages.
• Answer questions in-person, by phone, and by email.
• Assist customers on public computers and with technology and resources.
• Conduct collection development, including recommendations and weeding.
• Perform community outreach to schools and local organizations.
• Assist at circulation desk as needed; may work at other Library facilities.
• Act as Person-in-Charge of the branch as needed.
