Job summary

Cape Library is seeking a friendly, organized team member for our youth department. If you are passionate about children’s and teen literature and enjoy planning engaging programs, we’d love to hear from you. This is a full-time role with benefits including health and dental insurance.

Some evenings and weekends are required, and a background check is mandatory. Minimum qualifications include two years of college (a four-year degree preferred) and prior experience working with youth.

Job description

We’re looking for a friendly, organized team member to join the library’s youth department. If you have a passion for children’s and teen literature, love planning engaging programs, and want to make a difference in our community, we want to hear from you.

This is a full-time position. Pay is $17.50-20/hour, DOQ. Benefits include paid sick, vacation, and holiday leave, plus employer-paid health and dental insurance. Some nights and weekends required. All employees must pass a background check.

Minimum of two years’ college, 4-year degree preferred, and previous experience working with children preferred. An equivalent combination of library experience and education resulting in comparable knowledge also acceptable.
