Itasca Community Library’s Youth Services Department seeks a friendly, creative part-time Youth Services Assistant to support our youth programs and reference desk.

Hours are 16 per week (Fridays 9 a.m.–4:30 p.m., two evenings 4:30–9:00 p.m., and one weekend per month); salary $17.00–$18.25 per hour, DOQ; competitive benefits.
The Itasca Community Library’s Youth Services Department is looking for a friendly, creative part-time Youth Services Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive outlook, experience working in a public library, and demonstrate the ability to empathize and relate to the needs of all patrons, especially children and their caregivers.
Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to, providing reference services and basic technology assistance at the Youth Desk, assisting with teen volunteers, and maintaining the department's craft area.
Abachelor's degree and at least one year of customer service experienceis strongly preferred for this position.
